A Change In Flight Plan

Hey Chili Lovers.

The Captain has decided to pull out the spicy chili – on the second day of lunch service.  Yeah!  I said it.  We will be serving the following delicious lunch options tomorrow.

Jan’s Cashew Chili – an aromatic vegan chili with toasted cashews and unbelievable deliciousness.  Meat eaters….we are coming for you.

HotHead Red – a spicy beef chili featuring Savory Spice Shop’s smoked Serrano Pepper, Hot Chimayo Chili Powder and just a little bit of the Captain’s Red Head attitude.  It won’t blow your head off but it will make you sweat a bit.

Come on by Savory Spice Shop – 123 N. College Avenue.  $5 lunch featuring a super healthy, low fat, high protein chili with a side of chips served with a smile and an extra bit of happiness.

Can I Interest You In A Lovely Monday Lunch Chili?

I had the best time serving samples of chili last night at SAVORY SPICE SHOP.  The feedback was terrific and I’m looking forward to selling some fabulous, healthy chili for lunch beginning on Monday.    This week’s menu will include:

Monday:

Fall Harvest Vegetarian Chili – a delightful combination of beans, squash, and spelt.  This is one healthy, satisfying, and good for you chili.

State Fair Beef Chili – a regular main street sort of chili with a few spicy surprises.

Tuesday:

Jan’s Cashew Chili – a vegetarian juggernaut that meat eaters love.

Roast Chicken and Garlic Chili – a mouthwatering combination of roasted chicken, garlic, and jalapenos with white beans and corn.  Yummy!

Wednesday:

Still working on that……

Don’t forget to stop by SAVORY SPICE SHOP and check out all of the incredible spices, blends, and herbs.  It is the inspiration for many of our chili recipes.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen.

The maiden voyage of FLY BY CHILI is just around the corner.  We will be sampling our first menu of chili at  THE SAVORY SPICE SHOP on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. as part of the First Night Fort Collins 2011.

The menu will be:

Jan’s Cashew Chili – a delicious vegetarian chili made with fresh veggies, herbs, spices, beans,  and toasted cashews. It has a mild heat level and an outrageous flavor.  Even meat eaters love this one.

Triple Threat Chile Verde - this is a prize-winning Pork Green Chile made with tender pork, Hatch green chiles, and a secret blend of  veggies and spices.  This chile verde tends to be a medium heat and is delicious by itself or smothered over burritos, eggs, burgers, you name it.

”Master Thief” Smoky Beef and Beer Chili – this chili was created out of my love for Borracho Beans (drunken mexican beans).  It features tender beef, a variety of beans, some bacon for flavor, and of course Grimm Brother’s Brewhouse ”Master Thief” porter.  This chili is different than your typical “red” and has a medium heat level from a variety of delicious chiles.

FLY BY CHILI will also begin it’s regular lunch service at Savory Spice Shop on Monday, October 10th, 2011.  Hours are from 11:00 – 2:00.  Come by and get a generous serving of your favorite chili (served with your choice of toppings and a side of chips) for just $5.  Menu to follow.  Check this blog regularly for updates.
